Dr. Dilnavaz (Dil) Subawalla

Dil is a previously licensed clinical psychologist from the United States of America who has over 20 years of experience with both children and adults. She earned a Masters degree in Guidance and Counseling from the University of South Florida, Tampa and a Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University, Ft. Lauderdale. Her dissertation, which was subsequently published, involved the treatment of ADHD using computerized games. She has treated children and their families in school, medical, outpatient, and in-home settings. She also worked closely with children and families within the foster care system.

As Program Director of the Family Assessment Center, a shelter for adolescents between the ages of 12 and 18, Dil supervised Masters and Doctoral therapists, direct care workers and case managers. In her subsequent job as a consulting psychologist, she again supervised Masters and Doctoral level therapists with regard to clinical as well as administrative issues. Subsequently, Dil continued her practice on an outpatient basis. Beyond her role as a psychologist, Dil also taught graduate students as a professor at Kutztown University.

Dil utilizes a cognitive-behavioral approach to treatment with older children and adolescents. She also utilises play therapy with the younger children as needed. Critical to her approach is parent training and collaboration. She also conducts comprehensive psychological and intellectual assessments.
